This web site is dedicated to the art of needle craft, quilting and the world of fabric. The site has been put together to show the work of Madeleine Rhodes (known as Maddy).

Quilting goes back at least 2 thousand years, the oldest quilt is on display in a Russian museum after being found in a Mongolian cave, and dates back to about 100 BC. Originally quilts were made from scraps of material to provide extra warmth and wear from older garments, as well as making the cave a more cheery place!!!!!

The site is mainly comprised of the Quilts Gallery, a link showing quilts designed, made and presented to friends and family -"any excuse to buy fabric and make a quilt". Each quilt is a work of art, unique and totally different. Properly cared for and used with love they will last for generations.
